Dele scores first international goal

18 November 2015

Academy product Dele Alli scored his first international goal in England’s 2-0 win over France at Wembley on Tuesday night.

Just over a month after becoming the first Don to appear for the senior side, he achieved another historic moment in his career when he sent a superb 25-yard effort past Tottenham Hotspur team-mate Hugo Lloris.

The 19-year-old, who was also named man of the match, told Spurs TV: “It’s a proud moment for me, especially to do it at Wembley.

“I’m grateful just to get the call up and I’m very thankful for everything.”

Dele, who made his senior debut in the Dons' FA Cup tie against Cambridge City back in November 2012, scored 24 goals in 88 appearances for the Club after progressing through the Academy set-up at stadiummk.

Everyone at the Club would like to congratulate Dele on this fantastic achievement.
