Charlton display delights Karl

5 November 2015

Karl Robinson was full of praise for his players after their important 1-0 victory over Charlton Athletic at stadiummk.

Dean Bowditch’s 29th minute finish was enough to earn the Dons their fourth straight Tuesday night victory at home and move them four points clear of the bottom three in the Sky Bet Championship.

“I’m over the moon,” Robinson told MK Dons PlayerHD. “The players were magnificent. It was like a scene from platoon when the whistle went - everybody hit the ground because it took an awful lot out of us.

“It’s a tough ask to play Hull, feel that disappointment after playing so well and then to come against a team who are just below us in the table before the game. The players took everything on board from the week and I thought they were sensational.

“Sometimes you question your confidence when you’re not winning games and the group has certainly been tested at times but they’ve responded really well to it every time and that makes me proud.”

He continued: “It should have been three, four or five, we had that many chances in the second half but it’s a massive win for us.”

Next up for Robinson's side is a trip to third-placed Brighton & Hove Albion - a family area is available for away fans at the Amex Stadium, while under-18s can travel with the Dons for just £9.
