After slipping to defeat at Bristol City, the Dons returned to winning ways courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Yeovil Town at Huish Park.

Second-half goals from Will Grigg and Daniel Powell ensured the men from MK1 left Somerset with all three points, as they signed off ahead of a two-week break from Sky Bet League 1 action in style.

Starting XI: Martin; Spence, McFadzean, Flanagan (Randall 33), Lewington (c); Potter (Baker 86), Alli; Reeves, Grigg (Carruthers 88), Powell; Afobe.

Unused subs: McLoughlin, Bowditch, Hitchcock.

Goals: Grigg (69), Powell (85).

Bookings: Potter, Reeves, Powell, Randall.

Attendance: 4,000 (337 Dons fans)

Karl Robinson: “I’m ecstatic. We spoke about the importance of this game in the build-up and I didn’t hide from the fact I saw it as a make or break game for us. I didn’t think there was much in the game so to come away with a victory really sends out a message.”

Will Grigg: “It’s always nice to score. We were getting in some good areas and it was nice for that ball from Randers to finally get through and I managed to stick it away. It was an important win.”
