Rewind: Spireites beaten by Benik’s strike

Re-live the 1-0 victory over Chesterfield as part of’s look back at the 2014/15 promotion-winning season...

Karl Robinson’s men bagged their first away win of the campaign courtesy of a terrific solo goal from Benik Afobe and some dogged defending.

The Dons spent the majority of the first half on the back foot but netted the only goal of the game when Afobe drove past a cluster of Spireites defenders and fired an unstoppable effort past goalkeeper Tommy Lee.

Starting XI: Martin (McLoughlin 46); Hodson (Baldock 54), Lewington (c), Kay, McFadzean; Alli, Potter; Powell, Reeves, Bowditch (Grigg 89); Afobe.
