McFadzean made-up with promotion

14 May 2015

Kyle McFadzean believes the Dons deserved to be promoted to the Sky Bet Championship.

The men from MK1 finished the 2014/15 campaign on 91 points – two above Preston North End, who they pipped to second place on a dramatic final day.

“If we’d have reached 100 goals and 91 points and not been promoted there would have been something wrong,” McFadzean told MK Dons Player.

“The gaffer said to us that if we get 91 points then we will be promoted and he wasn’t wrong – he hasn’t been wrong all season.

“We’ve got a group of lads and we deserve it. We’ve stuck to our guns all season and played football.

“Preston have done well but I think we’ve been a better team. Colchester did us a favour and we’re promoted – that’s what I wanted.”
