Dons celebrate promotion!

8 May 2015

Fans turned out in their thousands on Friday evening to celebrate the Dons’ promotion to the Championship.

The Club teamed up with MK Council, thecentre:mk and Suzuki GB to host a special event in Middleton Hall to commemorate the Club’s step into the second tier of English football.

Luke Ashmead, of BBC Three Counties Radio, presented the celebration and spoke on stage to manager Karl Robinson as well as members of his first-team squad.

What’s more, the squad lifted their promotion trophy, which was won courtesy of a sensational season – one which saw the Dons record 30 wins, score 116 goals and keep 24 clean sheets.

Karl Robinson said: "The players have been magnificent all season and they deserve this."

Dele Alli said: "It's been a perfect year for me but I wouldn't have been able to do it without the support of the players and fans."

James Waugh, Centre Director, said: "We are proud to play host to the Dons team and their fans in celebration of their promotion to the Championship. Their performance this year has been outstanding and the Dons are the latest example of how, through the support of the people of Milton Keynes, a team can achieve so much in so little time."

The Club would like to thank thecentre:mk, MK Council and Suzuki GB, as well as the fans for playing their part in an event to remember.
