George Baldock netted an 87th minute equaliser to salvage a point for Oxford United on Tuesday evening.
The solo strike earned his loan side a 1-1 draw - a result which keeps them five points adrift of the relegation places in Sky Bet League 2.
Speaking to the media after the game, Baldock said: “I wouldn’t say it was bad strike. I was off-balance but I only had one thing in my mind and luckily it just went in the top corner.”
Elsewhere, Will Summerfield made another start for Bedford Town in their Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central clash away at Royston Town.
The 19-year-old winger played his part in a dominant first half display from the Eagles before being replaced in the 57th minute - Bedford would go on to lose the contest by a 3-0 scoreline.
