Loanee Lewis Baker has been selected in the England Under-20s squad for their friendlies with Mexico and USA later this month.
Aidy Boothroyd’s side will face the Mexicans at the Hive, home of Barnet, on Wednesday 25th March before travelling down to Plymouth Argyle’s Home Park to face America on Sunday 29th.
Due to his selection, Baker will be away for the Dons’ Sky Bet League 1 fixture with Doncaster Rovers, which is still scheduled to go ahead as planned.
Three call-ups from either side are required in order for a match to be postponed but youth/emergency loans (i.e. Baker) do not count towards that total. The Dons currently have two players unavailable (Will Grigg and Ben Reeves) while Doncaster have one (Lee McCullough)
However, there is still the potential of more call-ups for both clubs and mkdons.com will keep you updated should the situation change.
