Andrews: Striving to be better

6 March 2015

Keith Andrews says the Dons are working around the clock to try and turn things around.

The men from MK1 will be looking to get back to winning ways when they host Preston North End on Saturday.

Karl Robinson’s side can leapfrog the Lilywhites into second place in Sky Bet League 1 with a victory at stadiummk.

Andrews told red dot: “They’ve been on a good run and they’ve got a good squad and a manager that knows this level and the one above very well.

“There’s no doubt that it’s going to be a very tight game, but we’re confident we can beat anybody on our day. We have to put things right and it’s a magnificent game to hopefully start another unbeaten run.”

He added: “We are in a fantastic position and I think every single person at the Football Club would have taken where we are now when the first ball was kicked in August.

“We are right to be disappointed at the moment but we need to look to improve things. We have to strive to be better and if we can get back to the level of performance we’ve produced for the majority of the campaign, the results will come.”

Read more from Andrews, who discusses combining playing and coaching, his plans for the future and the crunch clash with PNE.

As well as that interview, fans will discover Antony Kay’s ideal dinner party, the latest from the ‘Bootroom’ and much more – pick up your copy of red dot on Saturday!
