The Dons have offered six young players apprenticeships for next season.
The group will be based at the Dons’ Woughton-on-the-Green training ground on a full-time basis as they look to develop and improve under the guidance of Director of Youth Mike Dove before, potentially, realising their goal of becoming professional footballers.
Speaking to mkdons.com, Dove said: “On behalf of the Academy, I’d like to welcome and congratulate the six who have been given apprenticeship deals.
“While it's an exciting time for them, they are currently sitting their school exams so we wish them well with that and then we'll look forward to seeing them for pre-season.”
He added: “I’d also like to give a mention to those schoolboys who will be moving on from next season and wish them all the success for the future.”
With the six new additions, the Dons’ Under-18s side for 2015/16 is as follows:
Callum Brittain, Connor Furlong, Jack Hadden-Becker, Adam Hunt, Oran Jackson, Peter Kioso, Andrew McCorkell (GK), Samuel Nombe, Juma Omar, Andrew Osei-Bonsu, Kevin Owusu, Dominic Palmiero, Joe Steele, Harry Stratton, Tom Wyant (GK).
Season ticket holders in 2015/16 can help support the academy in continuing to develop the best home-grown talents of the future, as well as have the chance to WIN back the price they paid for their year pass!
The Academy Supporters' Draw is a free-monthly draw - open to everybody over 18 who purchases a season ticket and includes a £12 donation to the Academy – where lucky supporters will be selected to WIN back the price they paid for their 2015/16 season ticket.
