The Dons will discover their Capital One Cup first-round opponents when the draw is made at 10am on Tuesday 16th June.
All 72 Football League clubs enter the tournament at the opening stage, with the first-round fixtures to be played the week commencing Monday 10th August.
Karl Robinson’s men created history last season when they reached the last 16 for the first time, beating AFC Wimbledon, Manchester United and Bradford City before eventually being edged out by semi-finalists Sheffield United.
The following day will see the release of the Dons’ first set of Sky Bet Championship fixtures – the eagerly-anticipated season starts on Saturday 8th August.
A draft schedule for the forthcoming campaign includes fixtures on Boxing Day, Monday 28th December and Saturday 2nd January.
FA Cup third round day is Saturday 9th January – the stage at which the men from MK1 will enter following their promotion to the second tier.
