Dean Bowditch is the latest Don to put pen to paper on a new contract at stadiummk.
The forward has signed a two-year deal which extends his affiliation with the Club until the end of the 2016/17 season.
As well as contributing throughout the campaign, Bowditch played an especially pivotal role in the Dons’ epic run of nine wins from their final 10 games which ultimately secured promotion to the Sky Bet Championship, delivering a high level of performance and scoring four goals.
“I’m absolutely over the moon,” he told MK Dons Player. “As soon as the Club said they wanted to offer me a contract, I was really pleased.
“It was a bit of an up and down season for me but I thought I finished well and the chance to play in the Championship is very exciting.
“I scored some goals and set some up towards the end – I felt like I was getting back to where I was when I first came. If I can continue that then it will only help the team and that’s my main aim.
“As a team, we finished brilliantly and hopefully we take that momentum into next season, which I can’t wait for.”
Bowditch, who started his career at Ipswich Town, a side he will go head to head with next season, joined the Dons in June 2011 and has found the net 35 times in 152 appearances during his four seasons at stadiummk.
The 28-year-old follows in the footsteps of Carl Baker, Lee Hodson, Tom Flanagan and Dean Lewington in penning a new deal, while Joe Walsh has made his move a permanent one and the Club have exercised options in the contracts of Jordan Spence and Daniel Powell to keep the pair for at least another year.
