Andy King remembered

4 June 2015

Hundreds were in attendance at the funeral of Chief Scout Andy King on Thursday.

Andy, who joined the Dons in 2014, passed away suddenly at his home last week, aged just 58.

The funeral took place at Luke the Evangelist in Liverpool, just yards away from Goodison Park, home of Everton, where he spent six years of his career.

Dons manager Karl Robinson attended the service, along with Head of Recruitment Bobby Winkelman, Kit Manager Tony Hawkins and players Dean Bowditch and Darren Potter.

Former Dons Ian McLoughlin, Paul Mitchell, Sean O’Hanlon and Mick Harford were also present, along with many others from the world of football such as Andy Gray, Phil Thompson, Tim Flowers and Peter Reid.

Donations in memory of Andy can be made to the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and the Everton Former Players’ Foundation.
