The Football Club paid an emotional tribute to Chief Scout Andy King prior to Tuesday’s friendly with Getafe at stadiummk.

King, a much-loved and treasured member of the Dons’ backroom team, passed away suddenly, aged 58, after a heart attack at his home back in May.

During their warm-ups on Tuesday, the Dons players all wore shirts displaying ‘King 7’ – the number he wore during his memorable spell at Everton.

The whole of stadiummk then arose to watch a video tribute to King before kick-off before joining together for a minute’s applause which was impeccably observed.

The final moment of an emotional tribute came when boss Karl Robinson and his staff laid a wreath behind the Cowshed goal in memory of the late – and great – man.
