Reeves raring to go again

6 January 2015

Ben Reeves has stressed his and his team-mates’ desire to get back to winning ways at Crawley Town on Saturday.

The Dons No.10 impressed during his comeback from a hamstring injury, playing the second half in the 1-0 FA Cup reverse against Chesterfield on Friday night.

“We need to bounce back in the league, that’s all we’ve got now so there are no excuses,” he told MK Dons Player.

“We need to make sure we don’t go back to playing like this and getting results like this, we need to get back on a run as soon as possible and try and stay up the top end of the league.”

The men from MK1 slipped to fourth in Sky Bet League 1 following their defeat to Walsall in their final game of 2014 – albeit still only four points off top with two games in hand - leaving Reeves even more determined to begin the new year with a success.

He said: “A win at Crawley is our main priority and it’s an important game.”

The current Player of the Year ended by discussing his return to action and his eagerness to reach match sharpness as soon as possible.

He said: “The only positive for me was that I got some minutes, now I can try and get my sharpness back in training.

“The injuries I’ve had this season have been annoying and got in my way, but hopefully they are behind me now and I can push on and help the team.”
