Winger Daniel Powell was on Kick It Out duty for the first time on Thursday as he visits a local school in his role as a ‘Next 20’ ambassador.
Daniel appeared at St Monica's Catholic Primary School in Milton Keynes, where he joined Paul Mortimer, Kick It Out’s Professional Players Engagement Manager, in delivering an anti-discrimination workshop.
Paul worked with year six students from the school to educate them on discrimination issues within football and society before leading a Q&A session with Powell on the topics discussed.
The 'Next 20', launched in October 2013 to commemorate the organisation’s 20-year anniversary, aims to champion 20 young footballers across the Premier League, Football League and Women’s Super League (WSL), also features stars such as Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, Manchester City Ladies striker Toni Duggan and Arsenal full-back Carl Jenkinson, who is currently on loan at West Ham United.
