Charlie Burns helped Truro City to a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Hitchin Town in his 11th appearance for the side.
Saturday’s victory sees the White Tigers climb to fifth in the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division and move to within six points of the top two.
Elsewhere, Will Summerfield made his first appearance for Bedford Town since re-joining them on a one-month loan last week.
The winger, who spent time with the Meadow Lane outfit earlier this season, was introduced as a 58th minute substitute but couldn’t help to overturn a 2-0 deficit – the Blues eventually lost 3-0.
Defenders Tom Flanagan and Harry Hickford also featured in defeats for Plymouth Argyle and Chelmsford City respectively.
Flanagan and the Pilgrims went down 1-0 at home to Sky Bet League 2 promotion contenders Luton Town while Hickford and his City teammates were beaten by two late goals away at Wealdstone – both centre-backs played the full 90 minutes.
