Afobe makes permanent Wolves move

14 January 2015

The Dons can confirm Benik Afobe has today left the Football Club to join Championship outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers on a permanent deal.

The striker, who moved stadiummk on a season-long loan from Arsenal back in August, leaves the Club in order to complete the permanent switch to Molineux Stadium, after the Gunners and Wolves agreed a fee for the 21-year-old.

Afobe enjoyed a memorable stint with the Dons, scoring 19 goals in 30 appearances including a brace in the 4-0 victory over Manchester United and his first professional hat-trick in a 6-0 triumph at home to Colchester United.

Everyone at the Club would like to thank Benik for his contribution during his time at stadiummk and wish him every success for the future.
