Kabongo Tshimanga helped Aldershot Town to a 2-1 home victory over Welling on Saturday while George Baldock made his debut for Oxford United.
Tshimanga was introduced as a 76th minute substitute was immediately involved, causing the Welling defence all sorts of problems with his pace and almost providing a chance for Jim Stevenson to add a third.
Meanwhile, Baldock started at right-back for the U’s as they travelled to second-placed Burton Albion in Sky Bet League 2.
The 21-year-old made a number of important blocks but couldn’t prevent his new side from slipping to a 2-0 defeat.
