‘Tremendous support all season’

27 February 2015

On the eve of taking a big away following to Coventry City, Karl Robinson has heaped praise on the Dons faithful.

Fans set up a social media initiative - #2K2COV – to try and encourage 2,000 supporters to travel to the Ricoh Arena and get behind Robinson’s men.

Over 1,400 tickets have already been snapped up and as well as thanking those fans for their support, the 34-year-old was keen to highlight the backing throughout the entire 2014/15 campaign.

“It’s a great initiative and we are continuously grateful for the support we are getting. It’s something that will drive us on.

“Our fans have been magnificent all season so I think it’s a bit unfair just to talk about the ones going to Coventry.

“You’ve followed us coast to coast and border to border - your support has been tremendous this year.

“I don’t think the players realise what winning on Saturday has done for the fans – for the first time, I saw a group that really believes. They knew they were a good side but I’m seeing belief now. When you have belief, it’s exciting and then we’ve add to the group with the signing of Lewis Baker.”

Tickets for Saturday’s clash at Coventry City are available to buy right up until kick-off – tickets are priced at £22 for adults, £15 for seniors, £15 for U21s and £11 for U16s.
