Pair up for monthly awards

4 February 2015

Manager Karl Robinson and midfielder Dele Alli have both been nominated for January Sky Bet Football League awards.

Robinson is up for the Sky Bet League 1 Manager of the Month award after overseeing a total of 11 points from five games.

His side, which also remained unbeaten, scored 11 goals in November including five in the convincing success over Crewe Alexandra last weekend.

The 34-year-old faces competition from Bristol City’s Steve Cotterill, Keith Hill at Rochdale and Oldham Athletic boss Lee Johnson.

Meanwhile, Alli is one of four vying for the Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Month award. The 18-year-old midfielder’s high-level of performance was key to the Dons’ impressive month, while he also scored an injury-time equaliser at Crawley Town.

Other players nominated are defenders Andy Butler and Tom Eastman at Doncaster Rovers and Colchester United respectively and Scunthorpe United striker Tom Hopper.

The winners will be selected by a judging panel comprising of former Norwich City and Newcastle United manager Chris Hughton, Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.

All winners will be announced on Friday 6th February.
