Kabongo debuts for Shots

11 February 2015

Kabongo Tshimanga made his debut for Aldershot Town on the weekend but couldn’t prevent the Shots from suffering a narrow defeat.

The young striker was introduced as an 83rd minute substitute with the score 1-0 to Altrincham, and although he helped pile the pressure on the Robins in the final exchanges, neither he nor his team-mates could find an equaliser.

Elsewhere, Harry Hickford helped Chelmsford City to a 2-1 victory over St Albans City and Will Summerfield started in Bedford Town’s 1-1 draw with AFC Hayes.

Hickford, making his eighth appearance for the Clarets, featured for the full 90 minutes and played his part as the Essex club held on to all three points despite a nervy second half at Melbourne Stadium.

Summerfield, meanwhile, helped the Eagles fight back from a one-goal deficit to earn a point at the Eyrie. The midfielder was replaced just moments before injury time in his fourth appearance for the Bedfordshire outfit.

Charlie Burns also featured for his loan side, Truro City, last weekend while Tom Flanagan was an unused substitute for Plymouth Argyle both on Saturday and Tuesday evening.
