Karl Robinson has rallied his players ahead of their first fixture in an important month.
“We’ve got a lot of football to play over December and hopefully we can start with a good result on Saturday,” Robinson told MK Dons PlayerHD.
“It’s difficult to put a run together in this league so we need to make sure we accept every game is a cup final. It’s important, as we go into these fixtures, that we have tremendous togetherness, hunger and optimism – we want to have a right good go.”
“We need to go (to Griffin Park) and perform to the best of our ability. We need to work as hard as we possibly can too and hopefully we’ll get a little bit of luck like last weekend.”
“We need to perform better than we did (against Wolves). Hopefully they’ll see our performance against Wolves as a benchmark when we know full well that that’s nowhere near our benchmark.
He added: “For us to get a point at Wolves after performing poorly gives us tremendous confidence.
The Dons picked up an important point in their last outing away at Wolverhampton Wanderers and although Robinson was disappointed with his team’s performance in that match, he wants them to use the confidence gained from the result moving forward.
