An honest Karl Robinson felt his side were beaten by the better team at St. Andrew’s on Monday.
The Dons slipped to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Birmingham City in a game where they never really got going – Jacques Maghoma grabbed the decisive goal of the match for the hosts on 63 minutes.
“We just got schooled in certain areas,” Robinson told the media. “. Their work ethic was there and I’m proud of their efforts but we just weren’t good - we got beat by the better team.
“We just had an off day. We had a game plan but when were supposed to kill the game at 0-0 we sped the game up.
He continued: “The changes we made didn’t work. Maybe I need to take responsibility for the changes that we made but I felt they were a necessity.”
