Dons spread Christmas cheer

23 December 2015

The Dons made their annual visit to the children’s ward at Milton Keynes General Hospital on Wednesday.

David Martin, Diego Poyet, Lee Hodson and Jordan Spence were joined by goalkeeper coach Paul Heald and academy welfare officer Tim Cutting in helping to spread Christmas cheer.

They personally delivered presents and Toys R Us gift vouchers, which had been paid for by the first-team squad.

As well as handing out the presents, the players and staff were able to lift the spirits of the parents (and nursing staff too!) by posing for photos, signing autographs and chatting about all things football and Christmas!

Goalkeeper coach Heald said: "The Club and the players understand the importance of this visit, going down to meet the children and their families and trying to put a smile on their faces at a difficult time.

“It’s great to meet such amazing and brave children, as well as see the staff, who work extremely hard to make this tough time that little bit easier.”
