Bowds set to face former side

Dean Bowditch has netted in each of the Dons’ last two home games and he’ll be hoping to make it three in three against his former club, Ipswich Town, on Saturday.

The forward began his career at Portman Road and made 75 appearances for the Tractor Boys while scoring eight goals, including a hat-trick on his home debut against Watford.

“I’ll always have a fondness for Ipswich,” Bowditch told reddot. “I was there from the age of 10 and I left when I was 21 so I was there for a long time – it’s the club I grew up at.

“They helped me develop into the player I am today. They’ve produced a lot of good players and I think that helped me at the time - I had some great players around me and that’s why I enjoyed it so much.”

“At home we’re playing some fantastic stuff. We’ve seen how well we can play against the likes of Hull City here. We have to take confidence from that and believe we can get back to that, starting on Saturday.”
