2015: Robbo’s men romp to Rovers win

31 December 2015

The penultimate game in mkdons.com’s review of 2015 is the 3-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers back in October.

The Dons marked their return from an international break with a convincing win over the Rovers at stadiummk – their biggest home triumph of the season to date.

Starting XI: Martin; Spence, Kay, McFadzean, Lewington (c); Poyet, Forster-Caskey; Hall (Baker 63), Reeves, Murphy (Carruthers 86); Church (Maynard 78).

Unused subs: Burns, Hodson, Powell, Gallagher.

Simon Church headed in his second goal of the season to make it 2-0 before Reeves added a third, capping off an excellent attacking move involving Carl Baker, Samir Carruthers and loanee Jake Forster-Caskey.

Ben Reeves put the Dons ahead from the penalty spot after Josh Murphy was bundled over by Adam Henley, who was sent off.
