Karl Robinson was happy with the way his side performed in Saturday’s clash at Reading.
“I am happy with a point because of the way we performed,” Robinson told the media afterwards. “Reading are a good side with some talented players so for us to come here and perform like we did as the new boys in town – I thought we did well.
“I think they’ve showed us respect today – they played a formation we’ve only ever seen them play away from home. They are difficult to play against but I thought our players conducted themselves really well and came, arguably, closest to scoring.
“In the last 15 minutes we felt we could let the game fizzle out and then try and nick something at the end. Tactically, I thought the players were perfect.
“It was a comfortable draw in the end – I don’t think there was too much towards the end that troubled us.”
