The Dons did pull a goal back seven minutes later after a free-kick was deflected into the path of Connor Furlong, who hit a low left-footed shot into the net. 1-4

Luton, though, restored their four goal margin on 36 minutes when James Verney got away from three or four yellow shirts and hit a fierce shot from 25 yards into the right hand side of the net. 1-5

Just before half-time the Dons conceded another soft goal to increase Luton’s lead further at the break. 1-6

The Hatters then scored again on 71 minutes when James Justin found the net side of the net with a shot from the edge of the area. 1-7

Luton netted their final goal of the game on 84 minutes as a ball through found George Murray, who beat the offside trap and was able to slot past Nathan Pickworth. 1-8
