Kabongo makes Corby loan switch

12 August 2015

Kabongo Tshimanga has joined Corby Town on a one-month loan.

The 18-year-old striker will link up with National League North side until mid-September and he could make his debut this evening when the Steelman play host to Gloucester City.

Academy graduate Tshimanga put pen to paper on his first professional contract back in January after scoring a whopping 40 goals for the Under-18s during the opening part of their 2014/15 campaign.

He also made his senior debut in the first-team’s FA Cup tie at Port Vale, while also adding more goals to his tally at youth level during the second half of the season. He played an important role, too, in Mike Dove’s side reaching the national final of the Youth Alliance Cup for the first time.
