Jennings: Players remaining positive

18 August 2015

Dale Jennings says it’s important the team stay confident despite suffering defeat on the weekend.

The Dons entertain Bolton Wanderers at stadiummk this evening looking to return to winning ways after their 1-0 reverse to Preston North End – the men from MK1’s first competitive loss since March.

“It’s important that we go out with the right mentality and want to win the game,” Jennings told reddot ahead of tonight’s clash. “Hopefully if we do that, then that will prove to be the case.

“We’ll sit down and go through the game on the weekend, taking the positives but also looking at what we need to change and what we need to do to win this game on Tuesday.”

Jennings made his first Sky Bet Championship appearance for the Dons in Saturday’s meeting with Preston and the 22-year-old winger is eager to earn more game time as he steadily approaches full fitness.

“I’m hoping to start getting close to 100% fitness within the next few weeks or so. I’m confident that once my fitness is here I can fight for my place in the team and do good things with the Club.”

Read the full interview with Jennings in tonight’s edition of reddot, which will be available to buy from sellers around the ground and the Box Office for £3. The Liverpudlian discusses the extra fitness work he’s been doing, his time with Bayern Munich and his ambitions for the 2015/16 campaign.
