Will Grigg scored his fifth Dons goal in four games in Saturday’s superb 3-0 victory over Swindon Town.
“We had a game plan from the start and it worked perfectly,” Grigg told Sky Sports straight after the final whistle. “We had to be patient. We played some good stuff in the first half but we just couldn’t quite get that finish. In the second half it all came together.
He continued: “(My form) has not been bad. Throughout the season I feel I’ve been prolific so I’m pleased with it.”
Saturday’s win at Swindon keeps the Dons in with a chance of chasing down second place in Sky Bet League 1 and Grigg says he is enjoying to be involved in a promotion race.
“I can’t wait (for the final seven games). It’s what you want to be involved in as a footballer, so bring it on!"
The Dons are back in action on Tuesday night when they host Scunthorpe United at stadiummk – tickets are priced from £20 for adults, £15 for seniors and £6 for U18s, while U12s can go for FREE with a Young Dons membership.
