Karl Robinson has been nominated for the April Sky Bet League 1 Manager of the Month award, while Will Grigg is up for the respective player gong.
Robinson has led the Dons to within touching distance of the automatic promotion places after taking 19 points from a possible 21. Robinson’s side scored 20 goals during the month of April, conceding just three times – they’ve also won five games by at least two goals.
The Liverpudlian is up against Chesterfield’s Paul Cook, Steve Cotterill of Bristol City and Preston North End boss Simon Grayson.
Meanwhile, Grigg has netted six goals in seven games to help the Dons close the gap on second place. The striker bagged consecutive braces at the start of April, as well contributing to the impressive successes over Fleetwood Town and Leyton Orient.
The three others shortlisted for the Player of the Month award are Preston’s Jermaine Beckford, Ben Gladwin of Swindon Town and Walsall defender James O’Connor.
The winners will be announced on Friday.
