Baker out of Swindon bout

2 April 2015

Carl Baker will miss Saturday’s clash with Swindon Town due to a calf problem, manager Karl Robinson confirmed in his pre-match press conference.

Baker scored his seventh goal of the season in the Dons’ recent 4-1 victory over Notts County but he won’t be available for the third versus fourth match-up at the County Ground this weekend.

This news comes just days after it was revealed that Ben Reeves would be sidelined for the remainder of the campaign, also because of a calf injury.

“We’re going into these big games without Ben Reeves and now Carl Baker, which is a big, big loss to us,” Robinson told the media.

“Carl will probably miss another week – it’s a two-week injury but he’s already had a week. It’s a kick in the teeth but that’s football.

“While we’re not going to Swindon with the side we wanted, we’re still going there with a very good team. Even though we’ve had these two bits of disappointing news, we feel we’ve dealt with it really well and the team we’ve got is more than capable of competing.”

Tickets for the clash with Swindon Town are now only available to buy on the day at the County Ground, priced at £27 for adults, £19 for senior and U18s and £12 for U16s.
