1 April 2015

Dele Alli has been named League One’s best in FourFourTwo’s countdown of the Top 50 players in 2014/2015.

The 18-year-old, ranked seven overall in the list which includes players from all three Football League divisions, has enjoyed a stunning second season as a professional – netting 14 times in 36 appearances from central midfield, including one hat-trick.

Alli’s impressive form saw him earn a move to Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in January and the playmaker is often referred to as one of the country’s brightest young players.

Also on FourFourTwo’s list is former Dons striker Benik Afobe, who scored 19 goals while on loan for the men from MK1 at the start of the campaign.

The powerful frontman joined Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers on a permanent deal from Arsenal in early January and his scoring form has continued in English football’s second tier – he has scored eight times for Wolves in just 14 games.
