Dele Alli became only the second player in MK Dons history to score two hat-tricks when he netted three times against Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.
After putting the Dons ahead inside the first three minutes with a composed finish under Crewe keeper Ben Garratt, Alli added a second with a leaping header from Ben Reeves’ cross. The midfielder completed his treble in the final six minutes with another drilled shot, this time from the edge of the area, after selling two defenders with a dummy.
Alli’s fellow academy graduate Sam Baldock is the only other player to net a hat-trick on two separate occasions for the Dons - the now-Brighton & Hove Albion striker scored his trebles in games against Colchester Untied and Chesterfield.
Baldock and Alli are also the only two Dons players to score a hat-trick at stadiummk, although striker Clive Platt did net three goals at the National Hockey Stadium back in 2007.
Mark Wright, Aaron Wilbraham and winger Dean Bowditch are the three other players to have scored hat-tricks for the Club.
