Charlie Burns and Harry Hickford have both joined Cambridge City on a month’s loan, subject to approval.
The deals, which run up to and including Saturday 4th October, could see the pair play seven times for the Southern League Premier Division as they aim to gain valuable first-team experience.
Keeper Burns (pictured) made his Dons bow against Leyton Orient on the final day of last season, appearing as a substitute for the injured David Martin, while centre-back Hickford enjoyed a successful loan stint at Chelmsford City in 2013/14.
The duo, who are eligible to play in the FA Cup for the Lilywhites, could make their debuts in the league clash at Burnham on Saturday (k.o. 3pm).
