Monday marks Transfer Deadline Day for club’s around Europe, arguably one of the most exciting days in the footballing calendar for supporters.

mkdons.com takes a look at some of the deadline day deals pulled off by the Dons in the past 10 years, starting with a winger who recently returned to stadiummk on a permanent basis after joining on loan in closing stages of the summer 2013 transfer window.

Danny Green, loan from Charlton Athletic – summer 2013
Green joined the Dons on a short-term loan deal from the Addicks with just hours to spare on 2nd September 2013.

The winger made six appearances during his short spell with the Club before returning to Milton Keynes to sign a two-year deal earlier this summer.

James Tavernier, loan from Newcastle United – winter 2012
Defender Tavernier completed a temporary move to stadiummk on 31st January 2012 to fill the vacant right-back position following the recall of Adam Smith to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Magpies trainee, now with Wigan Athletic, featured seven times for the Dons before being recalled by his parent club in April.

Anthony McNamee, free transfer from Norwich City; Mark Beevers, loan from Sheffield Wednesday – summer 2011
Winger McNamee and defender Beevers both joined the Dons late in the day on Deadline Day 2011.

McNamee, who signed a one-year deal with an option, played just eight games for Karl Robinson’s side before leaving the following January. Beevers, meanwhile, featured 14 times during his short-term loan spell, scoring one goal.

Keanu Marsh-Brown, loan from Fulham – winter 2011
Teenager Marsh-Brown moved to stadiummk on an initial one-month loan deal on the final day of the January 2011 transfer deal.

The winger, who later has his stay extended, finished with two goals in 19 appearances to his name.

Carl Regan, undisclosed fee from Macclesfield Town; Craig Dobson from Stevenage – winter 2008
Paul Ince and the Dons beat the midnight transfer deadline to sign both Regan and Dobson on permanent deals in January 2008.

Regan, a right-back, remained with the Dons for one and a half seasons and culminated 40 appearances while Dobson played just two times during an injury-plagued spell at stadiummk.

Miguel Llera, free transfer from Hercules CF – summer 2008
Spanish centre-back Llera moved to stadiummk on the 1st September 2008 after a spell with Spanish second-division side Hercules CF.

The defender made 38 appearances for the club before joining Charlton Athletic the following summer.

Jemal Johnson, from Wolves – summer 2007
Winger Johnson became Paul Ince’s final summer signing when he joined on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee in August 2007.

During two spells with the Club, the American made a total of 112 appearances and scored 16 goals.

Pablo Mills, loan signing from Derby County – summer 2005
Mills made the switch to the National Hockey Stadium in August 2005 on a long-term loan deal.

The Rams centre-back played 19 games during the 2005/06 but couldn’t prevent a then-Danny Wilson led Dons side from suffering relegation to League 1.
