Crampton offers update on duo

24 September 2014

Head of Sports Medicine Simon Crampton offers an update on injured duo Lee Hodson and Danny Green.

Hodson has been out of action since the middle of August after suffering ankle ligament damage in the 1-0 victory over Chesterfield. Green, meanwhile, has been limited to just one appearance in the last eight games due to a hamstring problem.

“Lee came out of his air-cast walker on Tuesday, which he had been in for the last four weeks,” Crampton told mkdons.com. “In the next couple of weeks we’ll be working to restore his range of movement and strength, and once this is achieved we will start progressing his rehab.

“He is ahead of schedule though, and we’re hoping he’ll start to partake in training, on a limited basis, in around four weeks.

He continued: “Danny’s had an issue with where the hamstring muscle group attaches to the bone, which has caused an inflammatory response and that has been quite painful for him. These issues are notoriously difficult to manage and as such it has been a very frustrating time for Danny.

“While we are unable to put a time frame on his recovery, he has progressed well this week and we feel have turned a corner. We have now started some rehabilitation to build up him back up again.”
