Statement: Second man arrested

7 October 2014

A second man has been arrested for assault on a Club steward and pitch incursion at the Capital One Cup fixture between MK Dons and AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday 12th August.

Ben Hearn, from London, will be sentenced later this month, along with Jack Beevor, also from London, who was recently charged with disorderly behaviour and pitch incursion at the same match.

Thames Valley Police are applying three-year football banning orders against the two men.

Andy Standen, Safety & Security Manager, said: “We’ve been working closely with the police to make sure those responsible for the problems we were forced to deal with are brought to account.

“The police are still working to identify others who behaved unlawfully and we will continue to assist with their investigations.”

The Club is committed to providing a safe environment where all supporters can enjoy football at stadiummk whichever team they support.

Supporters who do not comply to ground regulations or engage in criminal conduct will have action taken against them.
