The Dons returned to winning ways on Saturday, courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Yeovil Town at Huish Park.
Second-half goals from Will Grigg and Daniel Powell ensured the men from MK1 left Somerset with all three points, as they signed off ahead of a two-week break from Sky Bet League 1 action, in style.
Jordan Spence, Tom Flanagan and Grigg replaced George Baldock (ankle), Antony Kay (hamstring) and Dean Bowditch in the starting XI for the clash in Somerset. Recent recruit Carl Baker was named in the squad for the first time.
The Dons were the first to threaten in the fourth minute when Benik Afobe and Ben Reeves both saw efforts blocked in quick succession following a smart move down the left.
Karl Robinson’s side were looking impressive in the opening exchanges, but the hosts offered a brief warning when Aaron Martin glanced a header just wide from Simon Gillett’s free-kick on nine minutes.
A direct run from Powell almost brought about the opener three minutes later but, after beating three Yeovil players, the left-sided winger lifted his 20-yard effort over the top.

The windy conditions were making things difficult for both sides which prompted a lull in proceedings, before Dele Alli tried to spark the fixture back into life with an effort which was deflected behind for a corner five minutes before the break.
The Dons turned up the pressure in the closing stages of the half and were unfortunate not to be playing against 10 men when Ben Nugent clearly palmed the ball away under pressure from Grigg – the referee however determined the defender wasn’t denying a goalscoring opportunity.
Hiwula was presented with a golden opportunity to give the Glovers the lead just 30 seconds into the second half, but the Manchester City loanee blazed high over the bar when well placed.
A minute later, David Martin produced a stunning save with his right leg to deny Hayter’s fierce effort finding the back of the net.
