Ben makes Northern Ireland bow

14 October 2014

Ben Reeves made his international debut for Northern Ireland in their 2-0 win over Greece on Tuesday night.

Reeves, 22, replaced Shane Ferguson in the 78th minute, helping the Green and White Army to victory in their Euro 2016 qualifier in Athens.

The result was Northern Ireland's third straight success as they maintained their position at the top of Group F.

Fellow Don Will Grigg was an unused substitute in the fixture.

Reeves tweeted: "What a game to make my international debut in! Beating Greece 2-0 #gawa". Send your messages of congratulations to @BenReevo.

Michael O'Neill's men began their campaign with a 2-1 success in Hungary last month, which they backed up with a 2-0 triumph over the Faroe Islands on Saturday.

The pair will now return to MK1 and link up with the rest of the Dons squad ahead of the weekend trip to Leyton Orient.
