Treat for 1000th Young Dons Member

4 November 2014

Winger Daniel Powell recently paid a very special visit to the 1000th Young Dons Member.

Powell surprised 10-year-old Jack Goss by delivering his membership pack and a football signed by the first-team squad to his house in Dunstable, before spending some time with the young supporter to talk football and the Dons’ current form.

The Dons star also signed autographs and posed for photos with Jack and his family.

Matt, Jack’s father, told mkdons.com: “It was great of Daniel to give up his evening to come and surprise Jack with his membership. It was a struggle to keep it a secret from him but it was worth it for the look on his face when Daniel walked in the door.

“He’ll certainly be the envy of all his friends at school, now, as most of them are Dons fans as well!”

Powell added: “It was great to meet Jack and his family. It’s important for the Club that we continue to attract new, young fans and it’s terrific that Jack and over 1,000 other children have signed up to the scheme. These youngsters will grow up with the Dons and then we’ll no doubt start to see our attendances grow.”
