Peter Barry has taken an early lead in the Club’s Top Recruiter Scheme after signing four new season ticket holders for the 2014/15 campaign.
Mr Barry, who has renewed his own season ticket in East Wing for the fourth consecutive year, used his powers of persuasion to secure three adults and a senior.
“All I did was pass on my experience and enthusiasm,” the 74-year-old told mkdons.com. “It’s friendly and I like the atmosphere as well as the people I sit near, plus you get the sun on you in the stand I’m in!
“I’ve always been a follower of the Dons but I only used to come to midweek games and the odd Saturday game because I spent the weekends with my wife.
“After she passed away three years ago, my children, who knew how much I liked going to the Dons, clubbed together and bought me a season ticket which I’ve renewed every year since.
“I couldn’t care about what’s happening in the Premier League, there’s more enthusiasm for the game in the lower divisions.”

Although Peter wasn’t recruiting people for the rewards, there are incentives in place with everyone who introduces at least one new season ticket holder over the age of 18 earning some very special rewards, including the chance to get money off their 2015/16 season ticket.
For each person over the age of 18 who signs up and completes payment of their season ticket for 2014/15, you will receive a number of FREE monthly payments to use against your 2015/16 season ticket.
This season the Club has also introduced something new for 13-18-year-olds, with the 'Teen Top Recruiter' scheme designed to encourage mates to join you at

Sign up one or more over 18 season ticket holders and receive the following:
- Sign up ONE over 18 season ticket holder and get two months free to use against your 2015/16 season ticket
- Sign up TWO over 18 season ticket holders and get three months free to use against your 2015/16 season ticket
- Sign up THREE over 18 season ticket holders and get six months free to use against your 2015/16 season ticket
- Sign up FOUR over 18 season ticket holders and get nine months free to use against your 2015/16 season ticket
- Sign up FIVE over 18 season ticket holders and get FREE 2015/16 season ticket
To earn sign-up rewards, the new season ticket holder must purchase their season ticket by 31st August 2014.

In the event of a tie for Top Recruiter or more than four supporters tie for second place, a ballot will be held to determine the allocation of the prizes listed above.
