“Pre-season and starting the season is all I’m thinking of. It’s a chance for me to start my career again really and I’m looking forward to it.”
The former Dagenham & Redbridge winger will mix rest with hard work whilst on a break in Crete as he aims to maintain a good level of fitness ahead of pre-season.
As well as possessing a dangerous delivery and an eye for goal, Green also has a long throw in his armoury. He said: “It might be useful at times, especially late on in games if we need a goal, but it’s not as long as Rory Delap’s!”
“Karl is a massive reason why I came here because I like the way he plays football and the relationship he has with his players.”
“I was made to feel very welcome, like I have been this time – the manager, staff and the lads are easy to get on with. That will help me settle in for sure.
He added: “I loved it here last season. I played every game and my fitness was getting better and better as my time was coming to an end. I didn’t really want to go back if I’m being honest, I wanted to stay and carry on playing.
“Things went a bit stale for me last year but I rediscovered my love for the game when I came to MK Dons last year, and hopefully that can continue now I’m here on a permanent basis.”
He told MK Dons Player: “I had a great experience at Charlton, three great years, but I needed a change and when I knew I wasn’t being kept on, MK Dons were the club I wanted to come to.
, this time on a permanent basis, after a successful loan spell with the Dons last season. mkstadiumThe 25-year-old is back at
