Dele Alli says his summer will consist of relaxation and hard work as he aims to return for pre-season in the best possible condition.
The 18-year-old really came to the fore in 2013/14, scoring seven goals in 37 appearances, and he was rewarded for an impressive season by being named the Club’s Young Player of the Year.
“It’s been a great year for me and I’m really thankful for the opportunities I’ve had here,” he told mkdons.com.
“It’s horrible to just start getting into it and then the season’s over before you know it.”
He added: “I’ll be relaxing at the start and doing some of things I can’t do during the season, but I won’t be getting too carried away.
“I’m going to work hard on my upper body and my core strength which is something I can’t really do during the season because of the games.
“I’ll be preparing myself for next season to try and improve myself as much as I can.”
