Robbo proud of record crowd

31 March 2014

Karl Robinson expressed his pride at leading MK Dons out in front of 20,516 people at stadiummk on Saturday afternoon.

The Dons did battle Wolverhampton Wanderers this past weekend in front of a record home crowd at MK1 and although Robinson’s men couldn’t come out on top, they were more than a match for the Sky Bet League 1 leaders.

“I’m proud of the Club, the fans and the players,” Robinson told MK Dons Player after the game. “I’m gutted but whereas I was gutted and frustrated on Tuesday, I’m gutted and proud tonight. The result is one of them things you’ve just got to accept.

“I was pleased with the effort. The players worked their socks off and they pushed and they tried. I’m proud of everyone and we shouldn’t have lost.

“I’ve got to pick them up before we move on to the next game. We’ve got to make sure that we keep doing the right things and it’s important we stick together.”

on Saturday was the most seen for a football match in the Club and the ground’s history and Robinson hopes it can be provide a motivation heading into the final five weeks of the season.mkstadiumThe 20,516 supporters inside

“That’s what we want to do every week and we’ve got to make sure we get to that next level to get them crowds.

“I do just want to say thank you to the fans because they were wonderful today. They got behind the players and I couldn’t ask any more.”
