“The game’s got more significance now so hopefully people will come out and get behind us. The bigger the crowd, the bigger the atmosphere, the better it will be.”

the base and we try and get as many points as we can here. mkstadium “We always prefer playing at home, I think every team does. The away record was a bit of problem but we’ve got nine points from the last three games. That’s improved but it’s important we make

Skipper Dean Lewington added: “It’s a big game and the last few results have set it up to be that way. We’re looking forward to it.

“They need to be with us and we need to be with them too – there needs to be a connection on Saturday that’s above and beyond other games.”

“They are going to go through every emotion on Saturday, but so will we. They’ll be parts of the game we’ll enjoy and they’ll be parts of the game we won’t.

“I know a lot of them will be finishing work on Friday, having a beer and getting excited about the game. People who don’t understand football don’t know what being a supporter is all about. It takes great dedication and finance as well as going on an unbelievable rollercoaster.

“The fans will be massive, but they always are. Fans are one of the biggest reasons why we do our job, to please people going into work on Monday.

He told MK Dons Player: “The players’ mentality has been remarkable. We are fully focused on the next job in hand and that’s Peterborough. The fact there’s a rivalry there and that the fans will be excited brings an extra spice to it.

Robinson’s men, on the back of wins at Swindon Town and Notts County, welcome Posh to North Bucks knowing a win by more than a one-goal margin would see them leapfrog their opponents into the final play-off place.
