McFadzean made-up with Dons move

New signing Kyle McFadzean says he can’t wait to get his Dons career started after joining the Club on a two-year deal.

from Sky Bet League 1 rivals Crawley Town for an undisclosed fee on Friday and became Dons manager Karl Robinson’s third signing of the summer.mkstadiumThe 27-year-old centre-back moved to

“I just can’t wait to get started,” he told MK Dons Player. “You just need to walk around the place to see it should be a Championship, if not a Premier League club. Even the first time I played here I thought ‘what a stadium!’

“It’s a bit closer to home for me, as well, which is important because I’m a family person. My family will get to see more of my matches.

“I don’t know anybody here so it will be a fresh start but Richie’s helped me in the past and I’m sure the new Gaffer will too.”

McFadzean arrives at MK1 having spent the past four seasons with Crawley, during which time he played against the Dons on two occasions, including the more recent clash between the two side back in March.

And although the Sheffield-born defender got the better of the Dons on both occasions, he doesn’t have too fonder memories of his first clash with the men from MK1.

“The first time I had to come off for while because one of their players, I think it was Shaun Williams, took me out,” he recalled.

“When we came here (in March) we won 2-0 but you could see with the young talent on show that this is a good club.

“I’ve always known this is a good footballing side that can be dangerous on the counter attack and I’m sure we’ll be up there this season.”
