Fans took to social media over the weekend to give thanks to Luke Chadwick who, on Saturday, left the Football Club after six years to join Cambridge United.
The midfielder played 246 times for the Dons, during which time he became the first person to win the Player of the Year award in back-to-back seasons.
John Paterson – Luke has been an inspirational player for the club and I thank him for what he has done for us. The fact he stayed with us for 6 years, the same duration as his time at Man Utd, shows that he not only enjoyed his football again, but it gave him the comfort of being near his family in Cambridge. Good luck Chadders, you'll always be remembered by fans.
